Press Release – October 14, 2025

From Geoff Young:

In 2024 I ran in the Democratic primary for the US House of Representatives in Louisville, Kentucky’s 3rd Congressional District. The two other Democrats running were the incumbent, Morgan McGarvey, and Jared Randall. McGarvey conspired with the Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP), the Louisville Democratic Party, KET to violate Section (1) of KRS 118.105, one of Kentucky’s most important election laws, and rigged the primary against Jared Randall and me.

I filed a ballot challenge against McGarvey on April 26, 2024. The two documents below describe what happened next. One is an Appendix with seven orders entered by the Jefferson County Circuit Court (4 orders), the Kentucky Court of Appeals (one order), and the Supreme Court of Kentucky (2 orders); and the other is my petition for certiorari to the US Supreme Court. The case number is US Supreme Court Case No. 25-346. My petition for certiorari to the US Supreme Court includes the following request:

“I respectfully request that this Court review and overturn the Kentucky Supreme Court’s two orders…Appendices 6 and 7, on the grounds that the Supreme Court of Kentucky never had a right to enter any orders at all in this case because the clear language of KRS 118.176(4) – ‘the order of the Court of Appeals or judge thereof shall be final’ – prohibited it from taking jurisdiction over my appeal.”

In my opinion, the Kentucky Supreme Court really blew it this time in a way that’s going to be hard to ignore. Seizing jurisdiction over a case that the court is not allowed to decide is probably the most corrupt, unethical thing any court can do. For years, I’ve been calling the Ky Supreme Court and the Kentucky Court of Appeals “cesspools of corruption” in official legal documents, but that has never been as obviously true as it is today.
